Alfalfa (medicago sativa) – alkalizing, diuretic, rich in nutrients ( Vit. A, K and some of the B group; minerals s.a. Iron, magnesium, potassium, zince, calcium, folate.


Damiana (turnera diffusa) – aphorodisiac, uplifting, popular smoking herb


Dandelion Leaf (Taraxacum officinale ) - rich in Vitamins A, B1, B2, C, E ; minerals s.a. calcium, chromium, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, selenium, silicon, zinc.

Stimulates digestion and elimination as well as providing valuable nutrients to the body.


Echinacea (echinacea purpurea ) - well known immune stimulant, anti-viral, anti-bacterial, commonly used in commercially available infection prevention or -fighting preparations.


Horny Goat Weed (epimedium) – chinese herb used to boost libido and assist with erectile dysfunction


Kola Nut (cola) - used to combat mental fatigue, stimulates the nervous system, appetite suppressant, fat burning properties (contains caffeine)


Ladies Mantle (alchemilla vulgaris) - used to reduce uterine bleeding, ease menstrual cramps, and regulate the menstrual cycle, also useful for treating diarrhoea.


Mullein (Verbascum thapsus) – nutritional herb that is rich in Vit A, B-complex, D, magnesium, potassium, sulphur, iron. Commonly used to treat respiratory infections (internal – as a tea), skin problems (externally). This herb also has a long history as a smoking herb and has been known to assist with respiratory conditions and hay-fever.


Oat Straw (avena sativa) – highly nutritive herb, support the nervous system, anti – depressive, can assist with quitting smoking, helps build healthy nails, hair and bones.


Passionflower (passiflora incarnata ) - valuable herb that has sedative properties, assists with finding restful sleep, anxiety, panic attacks, menstrual cramps, bladder spasms and headache.


Peppermint (mentha piperita) – well known herb that has widespread application for gastric upsets. Exceptionally helpful in relieving nausea, colic, griping and wind. By soothing an irritated lining and muscles of the colon, it helps diarrhoea and relieves a spastic colon which is often the cause of constipation.


Stinging Nettle (Urtica dioica) -exceptionally valuable herb, often misunderstood – it has a page all to itself.


Skullcap (Scutellaria lateriflora) - this herb is most useful for treating anxiety, depression, insomnia, and nervous headaches. It is often used in smoking blends for it superb relaxing qualities.


St Johns Wort (Hypericum perforatum) – well known herb widely available in herbal preparations to treat depression. This herb is very useful in treating other conditions relating to the nervous system, s.a. Sciatica due to its pain relieving effect. Also very useful in the prevention of viral illnesses and treatment for herpes infections.
