You've got to be kidding! That's what I feed to my horse...
This
is an all too common cry whenever Molasses gets a mention, although not
a herb or weed, Molasses is a really valuable ally in nourishing the
body by providing a rich source of iron and calcium, as well as copper,
magnesium, potassium, manganese, Vit B and K.
Molasses is actually a
byproduct of sugarcane and gets separated from the sugar in the process
of refining it. Unlike sugar it has all the valuable nutrients that are
beneficial for the human body - unsulphured, organic Molasses is
preferable and tastes better.
It lends itself beautifully for
sweetening those nourishing infusions, added to pancake or bread mix to
give it colour and flavour, or just on its own by the spoonful.
